We continue to expand the capabilities of the premium CX50 platform with the Vision 2012 upgrade. Vision 2012 adds neonatal and pediatric cardiac capabilities to the compact system and enhances the efficiency of transducer changes.

• PureWave transducers – provide the ability to image a wide range of patients with one transducer. You can rely on exceptional tissue detail and clarity for your portable studies, including your technically difficult patients. PureWave is supported on the S5-1 and X7-2t sector transducers for 2D transthoracic and transesophageal imaging, and the C5-1 curved array for deep abdominal vascular exams.
• Advanced XRES – is an adaptive processing available that eliminates virtually all speckle noise, improving image clarity and margin definition. XRES is supported on all imaging transducers.
• SonoCT imaging – is supported on the L12-3 linear array and C5-1 PureWave curved array transducers for vascular studies. SonoCT compounds multiple angles, in real time, into one image with extraordinary clarity.

• Easy – The CX50 is designed for usability. The common Philips user interface has logically grouped controls for easy and intuitive access.
• Quick – One-button controls like iSCAN allow fast optimization of system performance during 2D and Doppler examinations. The system stores active native data so you have the ability to readjust virtually all scanning parameters during or after the exam, enhancing diagnostic details and shortening exam times.
• SmartExam – System-guided protocols help ensure you have captured the required views for your studies. SmartExam protocols have been clinically proven to reduce exam time by up to 50% by reducing keystrokes and alerting you if views have been missed.
• Stress echo – The CX50 supports full cycle adult stress echo protocols for a complete cardiac exam package.
• New Multiport adapter - The CX50 Vision 2012 simplifies imaging with the multiport adapter. With just the touch of a button, you can switch among up to three

Quantification
On-board QLAB software offers quantitative assessment of cardiac anatomy and function during and after exams:

• Tissue Motion Quantification (TMQ) for analysis of global and regional myocardial motion and function, like annular excursion, velocity, strain, and shear.
• Strain Quantification (SQ) for evaluation of regional myocardial function and assessment of synchronicity.
• Region of Interest (ROI) for analysis with vascular indices.
• Intima Media Thickness (IMT) for automated assessment of the carotid and superficial arterial vessels.
