The new Powerheart ECD emergency cardiac defibrillator and monitor by Cardiac Science is created specifically for medical professionals. With its streamlined and innovative design, the Powerheart ECD meets all of your cardiac resuscitation requirements including fast, easy-to-use defibrillation, advanced ECG monitoring and options for non-invasive pacing and SpO₂ monitoring. It combines our clinically proven and patented STAR^® Biphasic energy waveform with our sophisticated RHYTHMx^® analysis software in the lightest and easiest to use design on the market today.

Rhythmx Technology:

• Powerheart ECD incorporates a patented RHYTHMx analysis sofware
• sophisticated software technology combines advanced signal filtering, extraction, and waveform discrimination algorithms
• RHYTHMx accurately detects abnormal heart rhythms, determines whether they are life threatening and when appropriate, will advise therapy and automatically initiate the charge sequence when the Powerheart ECD is used in the semi-automatic mode.
• RHYTHMx also incorporates a patented SVT Discrimination Function algorithm.
• The programmable SVT Discrimination Function examines the unique characteristics (i.e., morphology shape, amplitude, duration, etc.) of the ECG waveform and accurately differentiates SVT and VT/VF providing a higher level of patients safety.
• Published clinical data have proven that RHYTHMx technology correctly identifies life-threatening ventricular tachyarrhythmia with 100% sensitivity (identification of a life threatetning abnormal heart rhythm) and 98.8 specificity (advising defibrillation therapy when needed and not advising therapy when not appropriate
